Yes, Women wear sporrans typically when dressed in a kilt and part of piper band, or at a Scottish/Caledonian/Highland-Lowlander/Clans event [ and not wearing traditional female garments ].

If you'll notice, the red sporran I made was equipped as a female version with a long shoulder strap.

You can get away with wearing a sporran with even blue jeans, and I have.

I also generally would fill my sporran's to attend these events with the objects for which they were intended... Coins... to pay for my purchases at the events.
